A Malden Reads children’s program will be offered on Thursday, Feb. 24 at 10:30 a.m. in the children’s room at the Malden Public Library. Violinist Rhiannon Banerdt from the New England Conservatory will talk about her instrument and provide musical accompaniment to the reading aloud of two picture books: "The Very Quiet Cricket" by Eric Carle and "Mole Music" by David McPhail (which is one of the Malden Reads book selections for young people).
