Parade, Games, And Ceremonies On Malden Little League's Opening Day

Malden Little League will hold its opening day parade on Saturday April 21, 2012. Let's all hope for warm, sunny, skies for our first parade as the new merged league.  We will meet at Forestdale School at 8:30 am to march to Trafton Park. The day will include a parade, cookout, and games being played by our major division, challenger division, and clinic division teams.

Malden Little League will be continuing the tradition started by Malden East to “Support the Troops".  Last year, Malden East was able to send many care packages to our troops overseas. Let's keep this great tradition going!

Malden Little League will also be participating in Pitch In For Baseball (PIFB), a program which began in 2011 to provide equipment and uniforms to dozens of chartered Little League programs in need. Two programs in particular are worth noting. Just weeks after tornados devastated the community of Joplin, Mo. and South Joplin Little League, Pitch In For Baseball sent three pallets of equipment to get those children back on the field and give them a sense of normalcy in the face of chaos. Likewise, PIFB came to the aid of Little League programs in Japan who were impacted by the tsunami and earthquake.  This a great way  to give back to the game and to clear out equipment that your MLL player may have outgrown.  We will be accepting donations at Opening Day at Trafton Park.  Look for bins with the Pitch In For Baseball signs!
