Parade of Holiday Traditions

The 2010 Malden Parade of Holiday Traditions will be held on Saturday, November 27th beginning at 10 am at the Salemwood School, 529 Salem Street and ending at the corner of Main, Salem, and Ferry Streets.

Jack Urbaczewski named Grand Marshal for the 2010 Malden Parade of Holiday Traditions - Jack Urbaczewski, who owns the Malden Dockside Restaurant and Agave Mexican Grille, was named the Grand Marshal for this year's holiday parade. Jack has had a great impact on the Malden community for many years. His sponsorship of fundraisers for Malden-based organizations has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars and raised community pride and spirit in Malden for many years. In addition to his financial support, Jack has also served on the Malden YMCA Board of Directors for eight years and has been a Director in the Malden Chamber of Commerce for two years. Furthermore, Jack's Malden restaurants, Dockside Restaurant, 229 Centre Street and Agave Mexican Grille, 270 Medford Street, are staffed with many Malden residents.
Jack is married to Patricia (Dennehy) Urbaczewski and they are very proud of their two children, Todd and Lisa. Also, Jack served on the Caliente in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and he was a Sergeant in the Chelsea Police force for 20 years. Holiday Parade Committee members Craig Spadafora and Gary Christenson stated that they are delighted to honor Jack and his family for their many years of support of the Malden community.
