The Dreams We Share

There will be two performances of “The Dreams We Share.” Students of The Immigrant Learning Center, Inc. (ILC) who are residents of Malden and surrounding communities will share their native cultures and experiences as newcomers to the United States through song, dance and spoken word.

The performers come from Brazil, Bangladesh, China, Democratic Republic of Congo, El Salvador, Haiti, Thailand and Vietnam, and will present a lively tour of their native countries through music, dance, images and narratives. Each in their own way is pursuing the American Dream and will share their inspiring stories in “The Dreams We Share.”

These free performances are produced by The ILC Theater Program, which helps immigrants improve their English skills through writing and performing plays and creates greater understanding of world cultures and the immigrant experience. All are welcome to attend.
