Firefighter Suffers 'Extensive Burns' In 3-Alarm Everett Fire

Another firefighter and resident of the home were released from the hospital, fire officials said.

EVERETT, MA — The three-alarm fire at an Everett home that sent two firefighters and one resident to the hospital was started at an electrical panel, fire officials said Friday night.

Fire officials said one firefighter had extensive burns and remained hospitalized. The other firefighter was released from the hospital, as was the resident.

"We all wish our injured firefighter a speedy recovery and I want to commend the Everett and mutual aid fire companies for their efforts fighting this fire," Everett Fire Chief Tony Carli said.

The fire started Friday afternoon at 13 Morris Street.

An investigation into possible fire and building code issues is ongoing.
