Everett Man Charged with Larceny From a Building
Police said that Todd Mason, 28, allegedly possessed roughly $300 worth of stolen goods.

An Everett man was arrested and charged with larceny from a building Thursday, after police said an “astute” citizen witness called authorities at just the right time.
Todd C. Mason, 28, was arrested near Harvard St. just after 2 p.m., Lt. Det. Marc Gatcomb said, when the responding officer found him in possession of stolen property from a nearby home.
“The witness observed a white male acting suspicious walking down the street,” Gatcomb said. “He then seemed to duck into a back yard, and (came) out carrying a box, and walks down the street.”

After the arrest, Gatcomb said police found more evidence of previous acts of larceny, with stolen goods he roughly estimated at $300 in value.
“Fortunately, the citizen made the phone call...because they obviously knew something wasn't correct in their neighborhood,” Gatcomb said. “Nobody knows their neighborhood better than the people that live there.”
