ICYMI: New Malden Restaurant Deals in Fresh Seafood, Prime Cut Meats

Fresco's, the brainchild of Liberty Bell graduates George Lambos and Voula DaSilva, recently celebrated its grand opening on Eastern Avenue.

MALDEN, MA – For George Lambos and Voula DaSilva, the restaurant business is more than just a trade – it's a family tradition.

The siblings and co-owners of Fresco's in Malden take after their mother and uncle, who owned the Liberty Bell Restaurant in Melrose from 2004 until last year. According to an announcement, Lambos, who worked as manager, ventured out on his own after his mother sold the joint last year.

Teaming up with his sister, they opened Fresco's Roast Beef & Seafood in Malden in the former Zinga Frozen Yogurt space. Living up to its namesake – "fresco" comes from the Greek "fresh" – the restaurant serves fish, clams, scallops and salmon purchased daily, as well as prime cut meats and slow roasted beef.
