Ideas 5, Tailored Impressions, and Five Other Great Boutiques in Malden
Maldonians looking for style outside of the mall have a surprisingly good selection to choose from in town.

Malden may not be known regionally for its boutiques, but the small, independent stores are here, and several have fans. We asked our readers to name their favorite boutiques in Malden, and they turned us on to a number of shops worth visiting, including:
- , 15 South Washington St.: This high-end consignment shop is the best of both worlds: It provides unique styles for shoppers, and the proceeds raised go to Tailored for Success, a non-profit charity dedicated to providing people in need with gently used professional clothing.
- Ideas 5, 183 Pleasant St.: The shop features wares from four different local artisans. Drop by for clothing, jewelry, handbags and artwork.
- Boutique Comme a Paris, 662 Salem St.: A decidedly French boutique in Maplewood Square.
- Firmani the Tailor, 150 Pleasant St.: An old school shop for old school men, Firmani tailors suits for men of all shapes and size. The shop also offers vintage-looking wares for men.
- , 90 Pleasant St.: OK, maybe this is stretching the term "boutique" a bit, but Spark’s is an independent and inarguably unique shopping experience. It’s a must for anyone looking to adopt a retro look at thrift-store price.
