Malden Catholic Fights Off Austin Prep for Super 8 Crown
After falling behind in the first 14 seconds of the game, MC bounced back for a 3-2 win, its third straight title.

The Malden Catholic boys hockey team wasn't rattled after falling behind 14 seconds into the Super 8 championship game as the Lancers bounced back and went on to win their third straight tournament title.
Tyler Sifferlen evened the score at 1-1 in the first period, Austin Goldstein put Malden Catholic on top and Ara Nazarian added a third period tally as well. Austin Prep struck with 26.5 seconds to go, but the Lancers held on for the win.
"First shot goals happen so I didn't even think about it. It happens and you can' worry about it," said head coach John McLean. "The kids dug down and did what they're supposed to do."
