Malden Polling Places Ran Low On Ballots, But All Votes Got In
The city clerk told Patch that people drove ballots out to locations where a shortage occurred.

MALDEN, MA — Apparently the 18 percent voter turnout in Malden was greater than city election officials expected. Several residents reported polling places running out of ballots during Tuesday's State Primary elections, something City Clerk Tom Brennan told Patch may have delayed some votes but didn't keep anyone from submitting them.
"The turnout was greater than expected, based upon the projections of voter turnout," Brennan said in an email. "To my knowledge everyone was able to vote, as we had staff members deliver additional ballots as needed."
Some 5,586 voted in Malden Tuesday, according to unofficial election results.

Some polling places also reportedly ran low on voting stickers. Brennan did not have information on that.
