Malden Public Schools Canceled Tuesday-Friday

The city's snow emergency starts at 6 p.m. Monday.

Malden Public Schools will be canceled Tuesday-Friday, according to the city.

From the city:

“Weather conditions will create impassible school lots and sidewalks for Tuesday and Wednesday. Cleanup has to be delayed until Thursday due to needed downtime for workers who will have been operating for at least 48 hours straight. Additionally, we will be in snow removal operations (i.e. trucking snow off site) most of Thursday. Friday was already a planned day off for professional development. So, for safety reasons, the entire week was canceled.”
