Malden Students Win MWRA Poster and Writing Contests; Senator Patricia Jehlen Issued Special Citations

Linden STEAM and Beebe students win for posters and essays

The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority is pleased to announce that five Malden students have won MWRA’s annual poster and writing contests.

Jiaqi Ye, grade 8 at the Beebe School, won First Place in the Poster Contest. Rachel Morneau, grade 8 at the Linden STEAM Academy, won Third Place and Elina Chen, grade 8 won Honorable Mention.

Nicholas Murray, grade 8 at the Linden STEAM Academy won First Place in the Writing Contest. Shreya Jha, grade 3, won Honorable Mention.

This year, students across the MWRA service area were challenged to create posters and write about how MWRA workers do their jobs in all kinds of weather. An awards ceremony was held on Friday, May 26 at the Deer Island Treatment Plant. Senator Patricia D. Jehlen issued special citations to the winners.

All of the winning posters and essays are posted on the MWRA website.
