The 39-year-old Boston man who allegedly stabbed one man to death and injured another in Malden Saturday morning has been arraigned, according to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
Juan Buruca was arraigned in Malden District Court on the following charges: murder, armed assault with the intent to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury. Judge Lee Johnson ordered Buruca held without bail, authorities said.

Buruca allegedly got into an argument with one of the men earlier, on Friday evening. Police responded to a residence at 28 Newhall St. at about 1:15 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, for a report of a double stabbing.
Both victims were taken to local hospitals. Jorge Alberto Machado Mejia, 48, of Malden, was then pronounced dead at Whidden Hospital in Everett.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner conducted on autopsy on Machado Mejia and determined his cause of death was stab wounds to the torso and upper extremities, with injuries to the heart, lungs and liver. The matter of death was homicide, according to the office.
The second victim, a 45-year-old man, is still being treated for his injuries, authorities said.
Buruca was in a romantic relationship with the sister of one of the victims, according to authorities.
The case is scheduled for a status hearing on Sept. 12.
