Man Steals Boy Scouts Fundraising Jar Outside Malden Supermarket

The man pictured above allegedly stole a Boy Scouts fundraising jar Sunday afternoon outside the Stop & Shop at 99 Charles St. in Malden, according to police.

The mother of a Boy Scout and shopper ran after the man, who kept saying, “Times are hard,” as he fled, according to a WCVB report.

The jar, for Boy Scout Pack 603, had about $160 in it – shoppers covered the loss and the store donated an extra $150, according to WCVB.
