• New Malden Attraction Puts A Different Spin On The Traditional Library (patch.com) — Families in Malden can now visit a new Hot Wheels Library outside the Linden Dunkin' Donuts on Lynn and Beach streets, right along the Northern Strand Community Trail. Created by longtime resident and collector John Melanson, the display lets kids freely take, leave, or trade toy cars, and has quickly become a popular, around-the-clock neighborhood stop that encourages sharing and community spirit.
   

• Dangerousness hearing delayed for Malden sex trafficking suspect (bostonherald.com) — A Malden man's dangerousness hearing on sex trafficking and kidnapping charges has been postponed to October 22 at Malden District Court. Police say the case began when a landlord checking a ceiling leak found a woman living in an uninhabitable attic, leading to allegations she was forced into repeated sexual encounters to pay for drugs.
