The Plus-Sized Clothing Bargain Hunt You Don't Want to Miss!

Malden, MA – The Big Thrifty will host its 4th annual bargain-hunting all-gendered, plus-size clothing event to benefit self-defense and advocacy program, IMPACT Boston.

This one-day event will feature lightly used and brand new clothing items ranging from fifty cents to ten dollars per item (cash only). A five dollar admission fee will grant event-goers access to the thrifting and two plus-size pop-up shops, The Thicky Chicky and ASK Fashion, selling new merchandise, live music entertainment, and a photo booth where shoppers can document their fashion finds. Shoppers who bring their own bag will also receive a $1 discount off their total.

The Big Thrifty annual shopping event is sponsored by consignment boutique 2nd Appearance and The Boston Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a modern order of queer nuns, comprising of people of all gender associations, all spiritual affiliations, and all proclivities to do good works. All proceeds raised from second-hand clothing sales will benefit IMPACT Boston, the Triangle-based program which provides self-defense classes and customized workshops to give people the skills to stay calm and focused in unsafe situations.

The event will be held from 12pm – 5pm on Saturday, May 14th at Triangle, 420 Pearl Street, Malden, MA. The venue is fully accessible with an elevator on-site and free parking available adjacent to the building.
