Super Finalists, Kids Getting Creative and More
Five things to help you get through a gray day.

Today is Tuesday, May 17. Here are five things you need to know:
The song remains the same: Sure, the ongoing gloomy weather resembles The Nothing from “The Neverending Story,” but try to remember it’s only clouds and a little rain. It’ll be sunny again someday, though the forecast calls for continued gray skies through the week.
A town full of scribes: Thought Malden Reads was over? Think again. Grade school students in Malden were encouraged to submit their own news stories about a person who inspires them. The results are in, and Malden Patch will run the winners a little later today. Congratulations to all the kids who submitted an article, and keep writing!

Fighting cancer in Malden: The YWCA of Malden recently received a $40,000 grant from the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. The group works to raise awareness and fund research about breast cancer.
