Selectmen Approve Phase III Water Ban
Outdoor water use in Mansfield will be permitted to four days a week.

MANSFIELD, MA — Summer hasn't started but Mansfield is already facing some water restrictions.
The selectmen voted Wednesday to issue a Phase III Mandatory Outside Water Use Restriction. Odd/evening water is permitted two days a week, Monday-Thursday.
Residents must water their lawns and flower gardens between 6-8 a.m. The filling of swimming pools, car washing, and washing buildings is permitted. Watering of vegetable gardens is permitted 5 a.m.-9 a.m. and 5 p.m.-9 p.m. Watering vegetable gardens by hand held hose is permitted anytime.

Although conditions in the area have shown recent improvement and Mansfield has been moved from Drought Watch to Drought Advisory status, the State’s Drought Management Task force continues to monitor rainfall and groundwater levels closely.
