Today's riddle: What is clean when it is black and dirty when it is white? 🤔 (Answer below!)
• Marblehead Community To Remember High School Student-Athlete At Memorial Service (patch.com) — Marblehead residents are coming together Thursday to honor Marblehead High School senior and three-sport athlete Owen Paradise Coyne, who died last week from a brain hemorrhage. The community has shown strong support through vigils, tributes from North Shore schools, and the creation of an Owen P. Coyne Scholarship Fund at National Grand Bank in Marblehead.
• Pathways to Friendship opens doors — and hearts — for adults with disabilities (marbleheadcurrent.org) — A free monthly social program for adults with disabilities in Marblehead is seeking community support through a Nov. 14 art auction at Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish Center. Founded by local artist Connie Donovan, Pathways to Friendship offers inclusive games, crafts, and activities for 15–20 participants from Marblehead and nearby towns, and now hopes auctioned artwork will keep the volunteer-run gatherings going.
• Forget Cape Cod – New England's Less-Crowded Gem Offers Scenic Boating & Quiet Beaches (explore.com) — Marblehead's quiet beaches, working harbor, and historic streets are highlighted as a less-crowded alternative to Cape Cod, with plenty for locals and visitors to enjoy. From Devereaux Beach and Crowninshield Island to Fort Sewall, Marblehead Neck, and Abbott Hall, the piece showcases boating, walking, and dining spots that make the town's waterfront and downtown special.
