Marblehead Arts Association

Enjoy a scenic, summer stroll around beautiful Marblehead visiting many of our artist studios on Sunday August 16&nbsp;between 11am-4pm hosted by the Marblehead Arts Association. Just download the map of participating artists and take your self-guided tour around town, stopping off to visit local art studios, meet the artists and learn more about their craft.
With over 25 Marblehead art studios opening their doors, take advantage of this special opportunity to view and purchase local art where it’s being created. Inspiring studio offerings include everything from hand-crafted jewelry and ceramics to fine art and photography, cyanotype and sculpture, printmaking and woodworking. There may even be the chance for some hands-on activities. 
The Marblehead Art Crawl &amp; Open Studios is free for visitors to participate and will take place rain or shine. Maps can be downloaded one week prior to the event for a great afternoon of meeting local artists, shopping for art, and supporting your local arts community. Explore 3D design with Tinkercad in this session, suitable for both new and returning participants. New users will receive a brief introduction to the software and how the library’s 3D printers work, while returning users can continue working on their own designs with guidance as needed. Attendees will save their files with the library staff and pick up their printed item at the Main Desk on a later date. Pre-printed 3D fidget toys will be given at the end of the session to take home. This program is led by Dan Saulnier, Technical Resource Specialist at the library.

Create your own 3D designs using TinkerCAD in this hands-on workshop led by Dan Saulnier, the library’s Technical Resource Specialist. This session will focus on designing models for printing. Participants who are new to the workshop can receive a brief overview of the design software and printing process, while returning participants can continue developing their own projects with guidance as needed. Those who are completely new to 3D printing are encouraged to attend the library's 3D Printing for Adults Demonstration when it is next offered for a more comprehensive introduction to the technology. Participants will save their files with library staff and pick up their printed item at the Main Desk on a later date.&nbsp;

Doors open at 1PM - 3pm for a free open house with our piano bar in the Flamingo Lounge.&nbsp; Doors open again at 5PM&nbsp;for general admission and The Band goes on at 8PM.
