Can I Charge My Phone?; Flashing Signs: Marblehead Police

Friday, Feb. 19

At 3:23 p.m., there was a motor vehicle accident on Atlantic Avenue.

At 6:14 p.m., a motorist on Lafayette Street said people were holding political signs that were flashing and could possibly be dangerous and cause an accident. It was determined that the lights were not distracting.

At 7:56 p.m., there was a report of kids in a red Jeep near Lighthouse Lane throwing fireworks.

At 8:35 p.m., a man reported receiving harassing texts from his girlfriend’s ex-husband.

Saturday, Feb. 20

At 12:01 a.m., the MBTA reported that there was a possible drunk man on the bus near Franklin Street. The man was placed in protective custody.

At 8:07 a.m., a house was egged on Casino Road.

At 6:54 p.m., a Pleasant Street resident reported that a man came to his door and asked if he could come inside to charge his cellphone. The man soon appeared at the police station and asked to charge his phone. He was asked if he thought it was unusual for a stranger to approach a residence and ask to use a cellphone charger and he said “nope.” He was advised to leave and stop his activity.
