Discarded Chair; Sweepstakes Winner: Marblehead Police

At 4:40 p.m., there was a motor vehicle accident at Smith and Pleasant Streets. One person was transported to Salem Hospital and one driver was issued a citation.

At 4:52 p.m., a member of the Clifton Association stated that he found a chair that had been discarded in the parking lot of Preston Beach. He was advised to contact the Highway Department to see if they could take the chair away.

At 5:12 p.m., there was a report of a scam call from a resident who said he had received multiple calls stating he was a sweepstakes winner.

At 5:20 p.m., a woman on West Shore Drive said her ex-boyfriend had entered her residence and taken photos.

At 8:27 p.m., there was a smell of smoke on Green Street caused by a malfunctioning boiler.
