MARBLEHEAD, MA — Marblehead police are investigating a hate crime at the high school after someone scrawled "Jews did 9/11" on the softball field last week. Police were still looking for suspects Thursday.
The vandalism happened sometime late Wed., Aug. 17 or early the next morning. Also during that time, someone threw a rock through a window at the school's main office.
"It is still an open investigation," Marblehead Police Chief Robert Picariello said Thursday. "I can't say with any degree of certainty that the two (vandalism incidents) are connected."
