Helping one person at a time

Please help Marblehead native Christopher Porter to pay it forward.

For the new year Christopher Porter, born and raised in Marblehead is asking Marblehead to help him in paying it forward. His son and daughter are determined to help one person at a time. Children so often think they can’t do anything to help. With the help of their mother, Jennifer Porter, they created a gofundme. In 10 days they raised $2,222 towards their goal of $4,000. “The change from the bottom of your purse, the pennies we throw in a jar , anything will help towards our goal”. says Chris Porter. We are dedicated to help a 19 year old friend. This kind hearted soul is alone. Her mother died a few years ago . She has no one . There is no assistance from the government unless she is in school and she is trying so hard to finish high school but it is impossible when you are homeless. A shelter is no place for a 19 year old. All she wants is a home. She is struggling to survive. Chris wants to prove to his children that they can help . Despite what is on TV there are good people in this world and we CAN make a difference. The Porter’s have a detailed plan. The money will specifically go to getting her an apartment so she can start school again, find a job and most of all have hope. He is asking his friends and community to help him prove to his children that we all can make a difference. Christopher owns a small business Patriot Seafoods and deliver to many of the local restaurants. If you want to donate you can give it directly to him when he’s driving around Marblehead making deliveries or when he’s down at the dock by The Landing. You can also go to :
