Man Reports Someone Claimed His $9,000 Tax Return Fraudulently
Excerpts from the Marblehead Police Department log.

Friday, April 10
At 9:37 a.m., a woman called to report a man going through the trash was “creeping her out.” An officer went to patrol the area and found nothing suspicious.
At 9:47 a.m., a person reported that someone had fraudulently filed his tax return and claimed a $9,135 tax return in his name.

At 11:18 a.m., a woman reported her tax return had been fraudulently filed.
At 3:53 p.m., a woman reported three suspicious men on bicycles; one was in her driveway. An officer spotted the individuals and watched as two went up Martin Street and the other went down Lafayette Street toward Salem. Eventually, one of the men “ditched” his bike on Humphrey Street and made his way on foot down Oak. An officer spoke with the individuals and requested DPW to pick up the bikes.

At 4:39 p.m., police placed a 60-year-old male, believed to be drunk, in protective custody.
At 8:44 p.m., a caller reported kids were throwing things at homes on Londonderry Road. The caller’s husband was able to catch one of the kids and was sitting with that individual on the front step awaiting police. Officers arrived, as did the parents of two children. There was no damage and the log indicates the kids were knocking on windows and doors or ringing doorbells and running away.
At 9:33 p.m., an employee of 5 Corners Kitchen reported that a drunk man was outside damaging flower pots and tipped over the Improper Bostonian box after being asked to leave the restaurant. The log notes that a brief footchase took place behind the Barrelman and the man was placed in custody outside the Little Theater. Adam Kenneth Davis, 35, of Marblehead was arrested and charged with malicious destruction of property over $250 and disturbing the peace.
Saturday, April 11
At 8:42 a.m., an iPhone was found on Devereux Beach.
At 10:16 a.m., a boy reported that a man approached him the conservation area off Salem Road and “tried to put his hands on him.” For more on this incident, see “Boy Reports Being Approached by Man in Conservation Area.“
Sunday, April 12
At 9:16 a.m., a woman reported a tax return ha been filed in her name and credit cards were opened fraudulently.
At 7:29 p.m., two individuals were arrested following a motor vehicle stop. Chase L. Nevins, 19, listed as homeless, and Nathan Alexander Nevins, 21, of Marblehead were arrested on warrants.
