Marblehead Garden Club's 85th Annual Plant Sale
Marblehead Garden Club Hosts 85th Annual Plant Sale, this Saturday, May 7, 8:30-11a.m. at the Gerry 5 VFA, 210 Beacon Street, Marblehead.
Expert and novice gardeners alike will find the perfect plants for their gardens at the Marblehead Garden Club’s 85th Annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 7 from 8:30 to 11a.m. at the Gerry 5 VFA, 210 Beacon Street in Marblehead, Ma. Historic plants from the Jeremiah Lee Mansion and members' personal gardens will be offered, along with annuals, herbs, perennials, shade plants and plants suitable for rock gardens. Members from the club will also be on hand to provide expert gardening advice and plant suggestions.
This year’s plant sale honors local philanthropist and former garden club president Carolyn Lynch. Lynch, who passed away in October of 2015, was a valued member and friend of the Marblehead Garden Club for thirty-nine years.
The Marblehead Garden Club, organized in 1926, maintains the gardens of the Jeremiah Lee Mansion for the Marblehead Museum, and contributes plantings and arrangements to a variety of community programs throughout the year. All proceeds from the sale will go directly to those efforts.
