Marblehead Man Opens Salem Gift Shop
Award-winning menswear designer Jamie Burns, of Marblehead, recently opened a gift shop in Salem called The Pig Next Door.

Marblehead resident Jamie Burns, an award winning menswear designer who began in the fashion trade with Salem's own Giblees, has opened a gift shop in Salem.
Located next to the popular In a Pig’s Eye Restaurant, the shop is called “The Pig Next Door”.

Burns along with his partner Sharon Coletti, have merchandised the store to be a fun place to shop for gifts and impulse items that have a humorous edge. Included in the assortment is t-shirt and cap art, exclusive to the store created by Jamie and local artist Jesse Moore.
In the mix there is a great a collection of Marine Art from Kim Gilbert, well known for his vision of New England Heritage. Accessories and jewelry are primarily sourced with industry relationships, built where the product is crafted. This allows the merchandise to be exclusive but affordable.

The assistant Manager, “Teak” is a German Shepard/Golden Retriever mix, and loves to meet with kids and dogs to show them products they will enjoy. The kids can also grab a weathered sea shell for free to remember their visit.
The Pig Next Door is located at 142 Derby Street in Salem. The shop is currently open Tuesday to Sunday from 11 a.m to 6 p.m. For more information call (978) 594-4170.
