Merry Mixers, a non-profit organization founded in 1950 and dedicated to enhancing hospital services for children on the North Shore, announces its new fundraising campaign focused on supporting pediatric behavioral health services at MassGeneral for Children at North Shore Medical Center (NSMC). Along with its annual Gala being held on Saturday, June 11, at Tedesco County Club, Merry Mixers is raffling off a new 2016 Jeep Wrangler Sport at www.merrymixers.org/win-a-jeep.

Raising funds that provide critical support for more than 5,400 local children, teens and families through the Family Resource Center and the Inpatient Child Psychiatry Unit at NSMC, the Merry Mixers organization is working to surpass the $88,000 raised last year and donate $99,000 to the hospital in 2016.

“For 2016, we felt it was important to not only create a new feel and experience for attendees to our Merry Mixers Gala but also strive to get more and more of our North Shore Community Members involved in supporting such an important local cause,” said Merry Mixers Board Chair Sarah Jennings. “Funds raised around both the Gala and the Jeep raffle provide much-needed funding for groundbreaking initiatives in child and adolescent psychiatric treatments, as well as the dedicated staff working tirelessly on behalf of NSMC’s most vulnerable patients and their families.”

The Merry Mixers Gala June 11, will focus on a fun evening among new and old friends with live music, complimentary champagne and hors d’oeuvres under the tent at Tedesco Country Club, beginning at 7pm. A condensed number of additional fund raising opportunities will also be available to attendees. Tickets can be purchased at www.merrymixers.org.

Raffle tickets for the 2016 Jeep Wrangler Sport can be purchased online for $100 each through June 10, at www.merrymixers.org/win-a-jeep. Also available for purchase during the Gala, the winning raffle ticket will be drawn during the celebration June 11; however, the ticket holder does not need to be present to win.
