Police: ATM Alarm; Hit and Run

Sunday, Jan. 31

At 12:04 p.m., a caller reported being in an ATM on Pleasant Street when the fire alarm began to sound, although there was no smoke or fire. There was a slight odor of an electrical issue. It was determined that the alarm was activated by a low battery in the panel.

At 1:06 p.m., there was a report of a hit and run motor vehicle accident on Evans Road.

At 3:43 p.m., there was a report of someone locked out of their house on Lee Street. Access was gained to the house with no damage.

At 7:32 p.m., there was a report of an unwanted person on Haley Road. An ex-boyfriend was following a woman to a friend’s house and would not leave.

Monday, Feb. 1

At 7:32 a.m., there was a report of newspapers still being delivered to the home of someone who had passed away on Rowland Street.
