Youths Who Egged Homes, Cars, Businesses Caught: Marblehead Police Log

Marblehead police said they caught up with a group of youths egging homes and businesses.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — The following are excerpts from the Marblehead police log. All suspects are innocent unless convicted.

  • 6:28 p.m. Suspicious activity was reported on Maple Street. The caller said four kids were "looking into the windows" of a building. An officer responded and found them playing football.
  • 10:35 p.m. A woman on Wyman Road said someone egged her house from a vehicle.

Sat., March 19

  • 2:26 a.m. A cigarette smoldering on a comforter caused a fire alarm to go off on Elm Street. No one was hurt.
  • 12:41 p.m. Someone egged a business on Washington Street.
  • 9:03 p.m. A hitchhiker was reported in the Lead Mills area.
  • 9:12 p.m. An officer caught up with youths in a white Jeep Liberty who were throwing eggs at vehicles. The officer ordered them to stop.
