Police: Fiery Sunset; Loose Boat

Friday, Nov. 13

At 11:31 a.m., there was a minor motor vehicle accident on Commercial Street.

At 12:07 p.m., there was a report that a boat had cut loose and was heading towards the rocks in Salem Harbor. The Harbormaster was notified.

At 4:14 p.m., a caller on Hoods Lane reported an outside fire, saying he could see a tree on fire. It was determined that it was not a fire, just the sunset.

At 12:36 p.m., a caller on Ticehurst Lane reported that two of his vehicles were vandalized.

At 5:20 p.m., a caller reported a dark-colored car entering a gate at a business on Bessom Street and someone loading things into the trunk. It was determined that it was an employee who was authorized to be on the property.

At 2:41 a.m., there was a water leak reported in a basement on Colgate Road.
