Police: Paint Can; Suspicious Black Car

Wednesday, Dec. 16

At 8:06 a.m., there was a report of a possible stolen package on Pond Street.

At 8:43 a.m., there was a report of construction vehicles tying up the area near Front Street and Circle Street. The trucks were moved.

At 12:21 p.m., a woman on Bessom Street called with concerns about a can under a motor vehicle parked in front of her building. She consulted with other people in the area about reporting it, and felt it was suspicious. While she was on the line, a man came out to the truck and it was determined that it was a painting company with a paint can and that no response was necessary.

At 7:08 p.m., there was a report of an indoor odor of kerosene on Rockaway Avenue. No hazardous conditions were found.

Thursday, Dec. 17

At 7:05 a.m., a caller on Dartmouth Road said there had been a black car in front of her house several days in a row at the same time every day. The woman requested that she would like to know what the writing on the rear window is and why the car is there every day.

At 7:33 p.m., there was a report of a motor vehicle operating erratically on Humphrey Street.
