Police: Trash TV; Parking Complaints

Tuesday, Jan. 26

At 11:21 a.m., there was a complaint about an illegally parked vehicle on Darling Street. Everything appeared to be in order.

At 11:30 a.m., police investigated a report of harassment on Village Street.

At 1:08 p.m., there was a report of items taken from a home on Peach Highlands.

At 2:46 p.m., a caller on Atlantic Avenue said a man and woman came into her store and started swearing at her and her staff. She was advised to get a no trespassing order.

At 5:34 p.m., there was a report of illegally parked vehicles on Franklin Street. Two cars were issued tickets.

At 9:57 p.m., the fire department responded to an issue with a stove on Pleasant Street.

Wednesday, Jan. 27

At 2:47 a.m., a caller on Lafayette Street reported that there were three men walking down the street carrying what appeared to be a heavy object that they had to put down several times. Police determined the men were students at Salem State and had found a discarded TV in the trash that they were carrying back to campus.
