Did you see this wild scene Friday afternoon in Marblehead?

A tractor trailer traveling through Marblehead Friday found its trailer pulled to the side and balanced on one set of wheels when it became caught in overhead phone wires.
The call came into dispatch at 1:52 p.m. stating that a truck was stuck in overhead wires and and leaning over on its wheels, according to a log entry.
The incident occurred at the corner of Norman Road, Calthrope Road and Hines Court, according to a post on the Marblehead police page on Facebook, and shut down traffic to the area for about 90 minutes. No one was injured.

“When we have vehicles that are the maximum height come in, it happens periodically,” Lt. David Ostrovitz said. He explained that wires sometimes sag or poles lean due to weather or trees. ”It’s not like anybody did something wrong.”
The height restriction for trucks is 13 feet, 6 inches, according to Massachusetts law. The truck involved in Friday’s incident did not exceed that, according to police.

A sign near the Marblehead fire station advises truck drivers to stop in for advice about navigating town since it’s “kind of like the Bermuda Triangle” once drivers get past the fire station, Ostrovitz said.
