MARLBOROUGH, MA — A bank is celebrating its new location in Marlborough.
M&T Bank is marking the grand opening of its newest full-service branch at 322 Maple St. in Marlborough. The celebration will take place on Friday, Apr. 17, at 9:30 a.m., featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony, press conference and a $5,000 charitable donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest.
M&T Bank said the new branch reflects its broader mission to strengthen local communities by offering comprehensive financial services, including business and commercial banking, residential mortgage lending and wealth management solutions.
The bank previously operated a smaller branch at 234 East Main St. in the city. The new Maple Street branch is replacing that location.
“We believe in Marlborough’s future, a city that remains livable, accessible and economically vibrant,” the bank noted in announcing the opening. The new location is designed to deepen community relationships while providing expanded in-person banking services for residents and businesses.
The event will bring together local leaders and community partners, including M&T Bank’s Regional President in Massachusetts Jeffrey Carpenter, State Senator Jamie Eldridge, Marlborough Mayor J. Christian Dumais and representatives from the Marlborough Chamber of Commerce.
As part of the opening celebration, M&T Bank will present a $5,000 grant to the Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest through the M&T Charitable Foundation. The contribution is intended to support local youth programming and community services throughout the region.
“M&T supports the communities we serve,” the bank said in a statement. “We listen and learn to understand and identify the community’s most pressing needs.”
The new Marlborough branch is part of M&T Bank’s ongoing regional expansion. Right now, there are 70 bank branches and ATMS in Massachusetts, including some nearby in Shrewsbury, Westborough and Worcester.
Editor's note: This story has been updated to clarify that this is not M&T Bank’s first location in Marlborough.
