Community Alert: New Sex Offender Registered in Marlborough
Police are informing residents of a new sex offender registered in Marlborough.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Under Massachusetts law, police departments are obligated to inform residents of a newly-registered Level 3 sex offender in the city.
Robert R. Gaumond, 67, is now listed as living at 83 Mill St. in Marlborough and working at 193 Boston Post Road West, which is the Dollar Store. He is also listed as working at 63 Western Ave. in Framingham. Gaumond was convicted of one count on Aug. 25, 1975, of open and gross lewdness and lascivious behavior. On Oct. 27, 1992, Gaumond was convicted of ten counts of indecent assault and battery on a person aged 14 or older. On that date, he was also convicted of two counts of indecent assault and battery on a person under 14 years of age. He was convicted on four counts of rape and abuse of a child, also on Oct. 27, 1992.
The Level 3 designation is reserved for the most severe offenders, according to the state’s Sex Offender Registry Board. These types of sex offenders pose a ”high risk” to reoffend. They are not wanted by police—and it’s illegal to use the following information to commit a crime or engage in any discrimination or harassment against an offender.
