Fallen Trooper Clardy Honored at Annual Hudson-Marlborough Thanksgiving Game

A ceremony will start the game to honor Thomas Clardy, who was killed by an erratic driver on the Mass. Pike earlier this year.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Fallen Massachusetts State Police Trooper Thomas Clardy will be honored at the annual game between Marlborough and Hudson High Schoolson Thanksgiving Day.

On Thanksgiving at 10 a.m., there will be a brief ceremony honoring Clardy, who was from Hudson. The ceremony consists of the National Anthem, Honor Guards from both the State Police and the U.S. Marines, followed by a flyover from the State Police Air Wing (weather permitting).

Clardy died on March 16 this year after a speeding car crashed into his stationary vehicle during a traffic stop on the Mass. Pike in Charlton. His family will commence the game with the ceremonial coin toss.

The game will be at the Kelleher Field on Jefferson Street in Marlboro. Limited parking is available on Jefferson Street.
