The Heritage Festival Is Coming To Marlborough

Three days of fun that packs live music, food, business, vendors and a lot more. Get to know your downtown.

MARLBOROUGH, MA—It's back and it's big.

The Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce is holding the 22nd Annual Heritage Festival, and it has grown. The event spans three days across downtown Marlborough, and attendees can expect to enjoy live music, hundreds of vendors, yoga in the Union Common and cultural acts all weekend. It's free and runs in tandem with the Chili-Chowder Challenge.

The Festival is divided into three day, and each "with its own purpose," according to organizers. Here it is:

The Heritage Festival has been divided into three days, each day serving its own purpose.

Sept. 15, Freedom Friday: 5-10 p.m. with an after hours gathering at Funky Murphy's.

Sept. 16, Unity Day: noon to 5 p.m., it's the Heritage Trail with live bands on Main Street followed by the Williams Tavern from 5-11 p.m. on the parking deck, 21 Court St. Parking Garage.

Sept. 17, Celebration Sunday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Craft fair, chili chowder challenge, live ,music, the Main Street Mile and the Patriots vs. Saints game on the loudspeakers. All takes place on Main Street.

William’s Tavern/The Heritage Festival's Main Event: Celebrate on top of the Court Street, with parking garage rooftop for a night of music headlined by New England's premier Grateful Dead tribute band Bearly Dead! Other performances include Parks, Jonny Glenn and special guests.

Chili-Chowder Challenge: Join us on top of the Court Street parking garage for a delectable tasting
of the best chili and chowders from Marlborough and the surrounding areas! Come taste the best chilis
and the best chowders at our 8th annual challenge complete with a Live DJ and drinks to get you around
for a taste of all the contestants. Come fill your stomach and cast your votes!
