K9 Kaiser Tracks Down Knife Used In Serious Assault
The K9 from the Marlborough Police Department assisted Northborough's department to find an item used in an alleged crime.

MARLBOROUGH, MA—K9 Kaiser proves he's one of the most important officers on the staff again.
Kaiser, who works with the Marlborough Police Department, assisted Northborough this week to find a knife that had been used in a serious assault and battery in that town.
On July 25, at approximately 9 p.m., Northborough PD was actively looking for a knife that was used in a serious A&B. The suspect apparently threw the weapon on either Lincoln, Pleasant or John Edwards Road. Kaiser searched both sides of the roads, initially, but had no changes of behavior.

During the investigation, Northborough's Sgt. Scesney found the suspect's sneaker outside the search area. Kaiser was brought to the shoe, sniffed the shoe, an acquired a track off the shoe, said police. This track led directly into the adjacent woods for approximately 50 yards, where Kaiser located the knife.
