The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

The School Committee is lacking the perspective of an educator and my election will change that.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I taught math at Assabet Valley for ten years and developed a positive relationship with the staff and administration. As a graduate of a technical high school, I also share the perspective of Assabet students and the opportunities available to them.

If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)?

They have not failed. I just want to bring more to the table.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform:

Exploring new vocational/technical offerings to reflect changing demands.

Expanding STEM collaboration with other schools.

Improving parent and community participation.

Identifying the impact of new technologies and global issues on future curriculum.

Seek sibling relationships with districts, both nationally and internationally.

Listen to all stakeholders and represent their interests.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I have established credibility with the staff and administration of Assabet.

I was selected by the Assabet Class of 2013 to be their graduation commencement speaker. I was inducted as an honorary member into the Assabet Valley chapter of the National Honor Society. I was appointed to the Board of Examiners, Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, by the U.S. Dept of Commerce

The best advice ever shared with me was ...

Listen, and don’t do anything unless it has a positive impact.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I have lived in Marlborough for almost 50 years and sincerely want to give back to my community. I have the perfect combination of being an educator, a tech school graduate and a business executive to help Assabet thrive into the future.
