Marlborough Election Tuesday: Races for Mayor, School Committee

Four candidates, including Marlborough's current mayor, campaign for that seat. Check out the final list for the city's election.

Marlborough’s municipal election on Nov 3. will consist of four vying for mayor, nine at-large candidates and three candidates for Assabet Valley school committee members.

Nomination papers were available in early April for those interested in running for several positions up for grabs in the next Marlborough election, and were required to be certified by the city clerk by 5 p.m. on Sept. 1.

Open seats are one for mayor (two-year term), four at-large councilors (two-year term), seven ward councilors (two-year term), three school committee members (four-year term) and one district committee member for the Assabet Valley Regional Vocational School.

According to the town clerk, 33 residents were certified to run for seats in the municipal election on Nov. 3.
