Six-Figure Lottery Ticket Sold In Marlborough
The prize was won from the Massachusetts State Lottery's Powerball drawing.
MARLBOROUGH, MA — A large lottery prize was sold at a convenience store in the city this week.
On Monday, Apr. 6, a $100,000 prize was sold at Hunts Mobil, at 270 W Main St. The prize was won from the Massachusetts State Lottery's Powerball drawing.
To win Powerball, a player must choose five numbers from 1 to 69 and one Powerball number from 1 to 26, then hope those numbers match the ones drawn. The odds of winning a $100,000 prize (by matching four numbers plus the Powerball with a Power Play multiplier) are about 1 in 913,129.

Powerball drawings occur daily, and the winning numbers on Monday were 7, 24, 37, 42 and 57 with a Powerball number of 5.
The state lottery commission did not share who won the prize, but the retailer that sells a winning ticket typically receives a bonus from the Lottery.
