Spring Street Sweeping Returns In Marlborough

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Spring street cleaning is back in Marlborough.

The city's annual street-sweeping program is now underway, with crews beginning citywide cleanup on Monday, April 6. Crews from the Department of Public Works will sweep roads across the city to remove sand, dirt, and debris left behind from winter operations.

The seasonal effort aims to improve roadway conditions while protecting local water quality by preventing pollutants from entering storm drains.

Residents can expect sweeping to take place in neighborhoods throughout the coming weeks, though exact timing will vary by street.

The sweeping order begins in section 2, and goes to section 5, section 1, section 4 and finishes in section 3. The city said routes are rotated each year for fairness.

Officials are reminding residents that keeping streets clear of parked vehicles during scheduled sweeping times will help crews work efficiently and ensure a more thorough cleanup.
