Thrive Support and Advocacy Gets $5,000 Grant For New Initiative
The LEAD program empowers young adults (ages 17-25) who live with intellectual and developmental challenges to be leaders in the community.

From Main Street Bank: The Main Street Bank Charitable Foundation awarded Thrive Support and Advocacy a $5,000 grant for their new Leadership Experience and Development (LEAD) initiative.
The LEAD program empowers young adults (ages 17-25) who live with intellectual and developmental challenges with the knowledge, skills and confidence to become leaders in their communities, honing their ability to positively impact their own lives and the lives of others. The program is a nine-month experience that includes weekly leadership development meetings and two planned community service projects. After the program, graduates can serve as alumni mentors for the following years participants. The LEAD program addresses a gap in services for young adults living with intellectual and developmental challenges, and supports these young adults and their families as they begin to transition into the adult world.
