Vehicle Hit By Bullet While Driving on I-495

Massachusetts State Police are investigating after a driver says his vehicle was struck by a bullet, which he initially thought was a rock.

MILFORD, MA — A driver headed down route 495 in Milford on Monday evening said what he first thought was a rock that struck his vehicle was actually a bullet.

Around 5:24 p.m., the Massachusetts State Police responded to the area. The driver initially thought his vehicle had been struck by a rock, but after pulling off I-495 onto Route 126 in Bellingham, he examined further and learned the projectile was apparently was a bullet. Troopers confirmed that it was indeed a bullet.

Troopers and additional State Police resources, including the State Police Air Wing, searched of the area, including roadways and overpasses, primarily along I-495 from Milford to Marlboro. No suspect was located.
