Woman Swerved Onto Sidewalk, Charged With OUI: Marlborough Police

Police found an empty beer can in her car.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — A Lincoln woman was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Thursday morning. Marlborough police said Tanya Bushy was swerving on the road, at one point driving onto the sidewalk, when she was pulled over at 2 a.m. on Thursday.

A Marlborough police officer was sitting at a red light at the intersection of Mechanic and Lincoln Street when he noticed a car swerving onto the sidewalk, police said. The car swerved back onto the street and continued driving, passing through a stop sign at the intersection of Hudson and Ash Street, where police stopped her, police said.

According to police, when the officer got to Bushy's car he could smell alcohol and saw an empty Pabst Blue Ribbon beer can in the passenger side. Bushy told officers she could not find her license and had trouble balancing on her own when she stepped out, leaning on the car for support, police said.
