Cemetery historians The Gravestone Girls, whose mission is to “Keep Our Dead Alive”, will present a virtual tour centered on the island’s 31 local cemeteries at 7 pm. The one and a half hour presentation is built on photographs recently taken in these special and interesting burying places around Martha’s Vineyard, whose towns were incorporated between 1671 and 1880, and charts the evolution of cemeteries and gravestones from the colonial era into the 21st century.
