Medfield has sent more boys and girls to Massachusetts boys and girls state per year than any other town or city in the Commonwealth. The entire costof sending students to these programs is completely dependent on fundraising by the American Legion and the Legion Auxiliary. This
year's sponsors for Girls state citizens were The ALA- 110 (2), The American Legion- 110 (2), The Medfield Lions Club-(2), Friends of Denise Garlick, and The Medfield Employers and Merchants Organization (MEMO). The American Legion-110 (7), The Medfield Lions Club-(2) and MEMO all sponsored Medfield’s Boys State citizens.

Students and their parents are not allowed to contribute to the cost of attending Massachusetts Boys or Girls State. However, sponsorship donations are welcome from local organizations, businesses and residents, but it would have no impact on which students will be chosen. To make a donation to the ALA-110 girls state program please mail a check made payable to “ALA-110” to Kim Bodozian, Treasurer, 39 Rocky Lane. Donations for the boys state program, made payable to the American Legion-110 can be mailed to Karl Schwartz, Treasurer, at 208 North Street.
