2020 Medfield Youth Softball Clinic Registration
Learn and practice the core fundamentals of softball including hitting, fielding, throwing, and base running with Medfield's Laura Clifford '20 and Katie Moon '21. No prior softball experience necessary!
We will work on specific drills depending on skill level and will split up by grade so that our coaching is relative to the amount of experience each player has had.
This clinic has been inspected and approved by the Medfield Board of Health. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the following recommendations have been made to ensure the health and safety of each player:

-Players must remain distanced whenever possible
-Face masks or coverings must be worn at all times
-No sharing of equipment or water bottles; all players must have their own
-Hand sanitizer should be utilized whenever possible, especially before and after the clinic. We will provide it.

- Session 1 at Schilling Field (behind Blake Middle School) : July 20, 22, 24 at 9 am - 1 pm
- Session 2 at Schilling Field (behind Blake Middle School) : August 3, 5, 7 at 9 am - 1 pm
*We recommend participating in both sessions, but picking a single week session is also welcome
$100 / player per session
$175 / player for both sessions
*Payments can be made through Venmo (@lauraandkatie_sballclinic ) or by check (payable to Laura Clifford)
**When you register, we will email you a Waiver of Liability. Please sign this waiver and bring it to the first day of the clinic.
Schedule:
We have a rough outline of what the clinic will look like during the week. Each day has the same basic structure, but the main focuses will change daily. The main focus drills (between 10:00 - 12:00 will vary from infield, outfield, hitting, base running, and the basics of pitching and catching). Every participant should bring a water bottle and a packed lunch in their own labeled lunchbox or bag. We will have coolers with ice to store them in the morning.
Monday (example schedule) :
9:00 - 9:30 introductions and stretch / warmup
9:30 - 10:00 work on throwing
10:00 - 12:00 split up by age group to work on infield drills and hitting stations
12:00 - 12:30 / 12:45 lunch
12:30 - 1:00 softball related games / pickup
Rain Plan:If it rains on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, we will push back the clinic to the following day (if it rains on Monday we will move that clinic to Tuesday, etc.) We will email everyone in advance about a plan, should there be rain.
