BMS 8th Graders Serve Up a Holiday Feast at Tilden Village!

The Blake Middle School 8th Graders have once again provided a lovely holiday dinner and entertainment to the residents of Tilden Village.

On Tuesday, December 10th, Blake Middle School eighth-grade teachers Ann Marie Fratolillo and Michael Gibbs along with Blake Middle School students took part in the annual Tilden Village Holiday Dinner.

Displaying holiday spirit, many eighth grade students took part in making this event come to fruition. Some helped with the cost of the turkey pies, others contributed veggies, desserts, paper goods and more to make this special evening perfect.

Eighth graders, Emily Ariel, Kelly Blake, Fia Flamand, Jennifer Hawley, Noah Manchand, Stella McDermott, Roman Schoenfeld, Daniel Terpinas and Katie Turner were the meal servers and Blake musicians, Jason Gelormini, Parker Cole and Tamlyn Shu entertained on the violins.

The residents enjoyed a delicious meal consisting of turkey pie, corn, peas, green beans, mashed

potato, squash, rolls, cranberry sauce and beverages. There was also an array of pies, cookies, candy and coffee to finish the meal.

The students worked together serving, refilling items, and smiling the entire time while the Blake teachers were behind the scenes in the kitchen heating the food and washing the dishes!

"It was another wonderful evening in Medfield. Mr. Gibbs and I are already looking forward to next year!" said Fratolillo.

This event has been an annual one for many years. The tradition started back in the late 1980's when the idea of singing Christmas Carols and delivering cookies to the residents. In the early 1990's, the event changed to providing a dinner for the residents along with musical entertainment and it is now something the residents look forward to and enjoy each year.
